hi everyone,

new to this forum, i'm excited to see that many Phase Linear enthousiasts around here:hello1:

I'm the satisfied owner of a PL700b, PL200 II, PL 3500, PL 5100 for many years now and they never stop amazing me still to this day.

All of them have been rebuilt and perform flawlessly but, and that's the subject of my topic, the right VU metter of my 700b is not at zero when not playing. Is there any way to calibrate the vu meters without risking any damage to them or shoud I try to look for a used one? Which I don't think will be easy to find...

cheers to you all

There is a zero adjustment below the meter face that can be accessed after the meter is dismounted. It takes a small standard screwdriver.

You b might want to check out a thread called "Meter adjustment and Calibration" in the WOPL archives. The thread was started by Gepetto.

The thread is titled 400 Meter adjustment but the 400's and 700's adjust the same. Be sure the power supply caps have discharged before attempting to adjust.
