PL Amps that Consume Twice as Much Power as Others?

When I saw the title I thought perhaps PLs would consume twice as much power as other brands???

That could be true too.

I browsed the posts and some say watts, some say VA. Watts and VA are the same and it's possible that the VA could be 1500 with only 750 watts.

I should have said "watts and VA are not the same". To go any further in detail is probably best left to other forums.
