Has anyone tried an LED meter in the outputs? There are places that overhaul them to spec. just like new.

The 2SD555's are about as robust an output as you can find. They are half the complimentary pair in a lot pof amps from that era including the Spec 2. Ed has researched that a bit and toweards the end even PL started going with the 2SD555/2SB600 complimentary pairs. Back then they were known as a hot rod, what they didn't know was that they would be hot rodding 40 years down the road.

Shit, thought maybee ya got a grip of em. 2 will do though.
 
Still debating if I should go with a WO PCB. If I sell it I will. Just put some Primus Pork Soda on. This amp sounds very good. If I was to keep it I would change the pots. Would extend the IEC connecter out so I can put a 20 amp IEC cord on it. An amp pulling that much need those conductors to be a little larger. Let those electrons breath a little bit. Not work so hard. LOL

A pair would be nice. 470uf at 25, 35, or 50 volt would do.
