I got a pile of beat face plates.................. They turn out OK when blasted and piss canned Lime green

You can build a graining box, which holds a sanding block from turning, and run across them with 400 grit. That should give a nice “brushed” look.

Clean with acetone and then shoot with Krylon Krystal clear. It won’t be as durable as clear anodize, but it’ll look nice!
