It was also offered to you first.... so you have first right of refusal. 75.00 plus shipping....

Hi Lee,

I'll take it..... Just let me know the shipping costs and I'll send you a check like in the past.

It will be cool to have a rack style, silver cassette to go with the 909 and 701 RTR decks. Many thanks Lee!

Robert

See, you wewre destined to get it. You need to finish out a rack. I haven't even plugged it in yet. Ed didn't tell me about it , just shipped it to surprise me so I'll have to seriously check it out Robert. Hope all is well with it. Guess I should have done that first.

You'll have the distinction of having a Pioneer cassette derk the the PL amp god owned, for whatever that is worth.

Hi Lee,

I did a very quick look is all.... Replaced the two counter belts so a tape will continue to play. There is a motion sensor driven by the counter belt. If the sensor does not detect motion it turns the play function off after a couple seconds. The FF and RWD don't work hopefully just because the idle wheel rubber material is very hard.

The right channel output pegs the output meter with non-tape signal (ie even when the tape is stopped) and the left channel is similar but much lower in level. Not sure what is going on but did not have any more time to investigate. Did not try the record function.

I downloaded a CTF9191 service manual and it looks to be fairly similar so that is good. It looks cool with the other Pioneer RTR decks.

Thanks,
Robert

Look for the Record/Playback switches. It maybe a slide switch on the main board. Spray it with deoxit and then exercise the switch go from play to stop to record about 50 times. The switch is probably stuck or not moving all the way.
