Does this deck worth $2000 friend selling it.
Nothing is worth more than someone is willing to pay…

Pictures on the web show a beautiful deck, though.
It better be in incredibly good condition for that price.

It's a rarity and a good specimen would be in the $2000 USD ballpark.

My Phase Linear Model 7000 Series Two cassette deck is the alter-ego to the CT-A1 and I bought it for $833 CAD two years ago.

My counterpoints do that too.

Back when guests actually visited, some would raise an eyebrow as I clicked each amp on and the lights dimmed momentarily…

So much fun watching their faces when that happens! Loud volume on my 400 also dims the lights noticeably. Too afraid to pump the 700 to that level, speakers are expensive.

I have a number of 45rpm remixes, heavily modulated, and they can drain the caps on my 400 rather quickly. I think the amp is sucking directly from the wall outlet! As I said, I’m cautious of pumping the 700 to that level. I live in a double-wide trailer, the wiring just isn’t up for that much current, my ADS L-1290 speakers are portable transistor radio speakers in the eyes of this behemoth.
