Well the 8 power tubes were not cheap. That hurt pretty good. I'm sure in the end I will enjoy them. I don't know why; but ever sense I started listening to tubes I just love the sound.

Tubes are tubes. You found some good stuff that is very sought after. It is when you start seeking a different sound by rolling tubes. The older the tubes the more expensive. What are your power tubes? You can find some used ones that still test pretty good. If you are happy then stay with what you have. In no means where tubes are concerned is new better than old. Rex can tell you the upgrades if you want to change caps. He is always working on something. There is a big market restoring the older gear. You have a good product be very happy you found it. I'm still learning. I have a long way to go.

Well don't be like me and buy a Silver In Oil cap you don't need that cost over 100.00. LOL they took it back. LOL PM Rex and ask him for some help with changing caps. He told be the Soviet paper in oil sound pretty good at a pretty good price. Changing caps may be you first project.

Bill, it's a real gem of a set-up, especially the amp, lot's of magic in there, I wouldn't do a whole hog rebuild, you might ruin the sound, just a careful re-furb of dried up caps, Rex (Paul) knows enough about these to do as he would do if it were his. I loved my console best of all my killer gear, it was an awesome piece of kit.

I suggest that you replace the powers supply caps for sure. I'd also do the coupling with some nice K40Y Russian paper in oils.

If you can get pics or a list of the caps and values in the amp I could help ya out. Look for a Sam's photo facts for the amp if possible.
