I'm not familiar with that console either, the folks on pilotone forums are very knowledgable and have schematics for lots of amps, you might try asking there too, Pilots from the late 50's, early 60's were second to none, very desirable stuff :thumbright:

I HATE COMPUTERS...
i find things then they hide when i need to see them again(really hide, i mean it)
that is why i have not been here i have been looking...
rex, ebay item # 130569726255 , completed item...
this is or is very close to the appearance of the amp in the 2b500 console that i was looking at.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130569726255?ru ... 3D1&_rdc=1

now as for the pilotone forums where do i look to find this/these?
thanks much, bill

Ah-ha...That is where those amps are coming from. That is similar to the 232 but not quite the same. I believe the output iron is smaller than the 232.

I rebuilt my 232 a few years back and the matching 210 pre-amp. For some crazy reason I sold them both. There may be a thread here in the tube forums on it.

All I did was a simple recap and set it up for 7189A's. I'd be more than happy to help ya out in any way I could. I've been keeping my eye out for one of these just to see what is different about it and the very desirable 232.

hi,
to all who might have read part/parts of this....
just got in the door with the pilot 2b500 console,
i think i am in love, this little(if i am correct 30 watter)
is really a sweet sound....
i really think i am in real trouble here(gotta find more)
this piece looks really clean and beautiful,
so forget the take the amp out and mount it on a table for show.
this stays together(now to find it a place for it)
i am sure none of you have ever had this problem :)
the fm doesnt work at present, hoping a 6AQ8 will fix this,
really want to find a schematic for this thing...
all in all i am glad i got this piece.
no pics cause no camera here now...

this little thing sounds good,
so ya know,
now got to look for bigger and better,
tis the way we are put together i guess.
even with this little one i can see the reason
why tOObes are a winter sport for some...
i was totally surprised that 15 watts would sound so good,
and with extra volume to boot,
plenty for listening pleasure.
yes, only after a short listening time this kid is very satisfied,
until.. .. .. .. .. .. :)

i had heard the talk,
but had forgotten the walk,
that along with the 30+ lava lights do help
present girl friend says(first thing entering the house)
turn on the lights,
not the ones that help me see, but the other ones...
i helped in a tv repair shop through the 60's so i did forget the walk

the $48 for this find wasnt too bad though...
