Got the 250 ohm resistor mounted and wired for the light dimming circuit. I removed the half wave 1N4004 rectifier diode as the strobing was very apparent with the LEDs. Joe was correct. Dim setting is good. Browndogs with OPA 2134 are installed, and of course 4 good Budwig feet. Alignment is close, sounds good, actually better than the PL5100 AM FM tuner. I like it. Now to find a good FM alignment stereo generator and get these spot on. Sitting here listening to FM Christmas music while snow streams in off Lake Erie.

Really informative posts George. I have 2 of these, listening this morning to a local station out of Madison, WI. that has a great Jazz/Blues program on Sunday mornings. The other one needs the TLC and magic you just worked. The one I listen to I bought in the early 80's. Spitting snow here today too. Very nice work, you will enjoy for another 45 years!
