phase linear 400

Move the speakers/wires away from any fluorescent or LED lights and TV's............... Better yet, drag the speakers to the middle of the room for testing/debugging

No- Not the Inputs
Yes - The relay is open and does not hook the amp to the speakers but in this design it also shorts the - and + together for both Speakers (but your meters are hook up to it ,,, Joe good or bad? could Dc bypass the relays? throw the meters leads)

then my ground is humming....lol
i am sure its external interference...
my install is messy...as i am constantly changing it as i improve each unit....i need new cables...but waiting until finished so i can build the right length...
i like the mike cable idea...

No I was just making a joke Not of you just in General.
You could un-wire the wires you added from the meter to the speaker protection board (Lt and Rt) or just one and see if the buss goes away.
Dont worry about the RCA Cables, you probably don't have a problem.
This might be were the Hum is coming from. (only thing wired to your speakers)

Were are the wiring Schematics? (I don't have this one) I could be wrong but the Description says the relay shorts out the speakers outputs?
Meter is hooked to the speaker by passing the relay?

i appreciate your attention....
btw...i have moved the power strip....this morning no hum....
we shut it down to go get a bigger cage for our parrot....she is eating the furniture at night....
when i returned .... gone an hour or two....and powered it back up....hum....
lol....
aint life interesting....

was joes recommendation to wire the meters to the output of the dcp....once i had a bad problem....and dc on the speakers pegged out both meters....
hooked up to the output of the dcp....another problem has less possibility of damaging the meters with everything else....
george moved his first and told me how to do it on my stock amps...just move 2 wires...
joe had directions in the wopl documentation on how to do that too....
i did miss disabling the zobel network....again george and joe set me straight....
power up was very exciting but uneventful....
sniff is very very sad....
no kaboom.....

Just trying to help.
In the Debug world you have to look at what's hooked up to the speakers to cause it to hum before the relay kicks in. That's all I was trying to say! I don't have your speaker protection board so I'm out,,,,,,,,,

and i really do appreciate your help.......
i too am just trying to explain the circumstances as you...no problem...we are all in this together....forum style...
thats all thats hooked to the speakers....the output of the dcp....which joe said is grounded ....
but, it is hooked to a ab switch...which technically could be picking up interference...
as i said...its a mess back there....
get you a dcp....every amp needs one....as i have learned two or three times....

i am not using shielded cables as speaker wire....could be something there...
but, it never does it to the 4 fin...which has the same exact connections....
i think its going to be something very simple...i dont think there is a problem with the 400s....
i play the 8 fin up to 10 hours a day....every day....occassionally switching to the 4 fin....just for grins...
i got so hooked on these....the sx1080 feels neglected....
send a pic or two of your system....so i can study your setup....please...
i would love to see sniffs too!!!
the problem a lot of times is .... it so much fun to keep improving the amps....that we dont take the time to listen....
I CANT WAIT TO HEAR THE WOPL....
the forwarding company lost my truck window and joes order for days....well, thank god today....
all of the stuff that i had been worried about was entered into the system....whew....
i did buy another piece of schiit....another dac....along with a fiber hub....to split the outputs from the tv and chromecast...
what about vsat....has he gone awol????
