Panic of Girls

Heart recorded "DreamBoat Annie' at what was then renamed Mushroom Studios. Our Electronics 11 class toured through the studio in 1976. One of my other favourite bands recorded there, too: Led Zeppelin.

Nando is correct http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mushroom_Studios how cool you got to go there, sounds like that mixing board was used on some mighty fine recordings!

Half of what I recorded to RTR in the 70's was off Master Vinyl that was played once to record then sealed back up.

Silly man, you're supposed to play them 3 times to get the pressing horns off the grooves, makes them sound quieter.

I believe stuwee is right. Any analog hi-fi nut has known this trade secret. And that was way before there was such a thing as the internet. Now, who is the real "grasshopper?"

Thanks for backing me up Nando, I was taught that when I got my first and still in my main rig Thorens. The salesman I got the 'just out on the market' MFSL Lps told me to do that, he called it breaking them in :D . $17 each was a lot of money in 1979 :!: :!: Course, I had to play the Lp for friends to blow them away, the cassette copys on MA-90's from my Teac A-500 II were good, but the Lp was much more 'goosebump' inducing.

Time from DSotM always made folks jump, even though they knew that alarm clock was coming

I'll check out Blondie's newest, but just the CD. I agree with you stuwee, the cover art has that "Lord Of The Rings" stylized look to it. Would you take an older Blondie over Lady Gaga? For the music, I mean.

Nando.

Are you kidding? Lady Gaga doesn't have Clem on the drums (please play Dreaming one more time for reinforcement of this crucial fact).

Big :love4: and kisses to ya Larry for the info! I'll send you a postcard when it arrives :D

Is the $44 the converted price from the UK with shipping? Is the dollar that weak against the pound sterling?

The dollar is weak against everthing you can measure it by!!!

Yes that is 44 USD. Dude it cost me so much to buy from the UK it isn't funny. I found another AA but it is a Dac I A Box and they are suppose to be good. The price was in GBP I thought that isn't to bad till I saw the conversion then I didn't want it so bad. LOL
