Also, Steve, what is this and can you use it?? I'll send it with the rest of the stuff. I also have that Dell iNSPIRION LAPTOP WITH THE BAD SCREEN, BUT DOES WORK WITH EXTERNAL SCREEN. I'll send that too if you want it.
I have no idea what the top does from that picture. If it has 1/8" mini stereo jacks and usually a fat trapezoidal 9? pin connect for a joystick, that is an audio card even if has other connectors. Mini jacks and modem (phone jacks)=3 or 486 stuff like and not likely going to work past 98SE. Without the business end in the picture this one doesn't talk much.
The BOTTOM one DOES. It says NVIDIA and the far-out cooler on the IC pretty much solves that. NVIDIA=video card, the kind gamers liked.
What you can do is run searchss on the names/numbering on the boards (the the icons like V094 or backwards R and U, those are standards certifications and such similar to UL labels, for other countries), You WILL find search references to what it is/does/perhaps drivers and what it is compatible with OS-wise.
The same can be done with RAM and there are sites to ID your RAM whether by the stickers on the stick or by it's ICs and physical layout.. There are 4 billion more hits for memory sellers than what you want sometimes since Google has really been good for nothing but porn sites since 2001.
