Opamp replacement

Hello!

I had a chatting with a local engineer the other day and he insisted that the Technics sl-pg500a/520a could sound better if their line-out 4560 was replaced with a fet opamp.

What's your opinion?

The modern op amps have really great specs, so I’m sure an improvement can be had with the right selection of replacement.

I think the CD format itself is the weak link in the distortion chain, not the line out op amp.

Replaced a few, made significant to much less noticeable improvements depending on what unit/old op amp and new op amp were used.
