No protection lamp, this is a small receiver from about 1982 so I'm assuming it's the STK.
It's not going to be a powerhouse of course. Worth the effort for the $10 the owner hoped for at his secondhand (and yes, he knows and trusts my opinion and knowledge)? I didn't have any way to check relay(s) or check for open circuits.
I'm already into blowing out a Sony STR-VX750 (70 watt sister to my 550) I got for $5 at the feral cat sale.
Found a small bit of hair in the Onkyo but it was clean otherwise and a smart looking analog tuning set.
