Oil on the (downward slide) upward climb...

$2.25/gallon of regular this afternoon, at my usual filling station.

We got the price bump of ten cents per gallon yesterday. Probably twenty more over the weekend.

West Coast spot up 8 today and up another 14 tomorrow. Confirmed.

We are about to get under $1 per litre, happy days if you are an australian. My fuel gauge in my hatch back doesn't work properly. When full it displays 3/4 of a tank, so have no idea when its getting low. So have gotten a fuel container and I'm gonna run that bitch out to see what my limits are and see if the fuel warning light actually works.

How long have you had the car..?

Couple of years. I'm guessing its never gotten below 1/4 of a tank even when the gauge shows empty. Its a beaten up hatchback (since the last hail storm). Very reliable, best car I've had and I drive it like hell.

Wheel bearings are howling, but no movement in the wheels, been checking them, still safe?

Time to pack them...probably to late if they're squeeling...

They are growling, I know they are toast, but can't afford to fix. Just as long as they don't lock up on the highway I'll just keep turning up the stereo.

Still $2.25/gallon of regular this morning, at my usual filling station.
But a popular Arco a few blocks over has dropped to $2.21.

Current petrol prices in New Zealand:

96 / 98 octane, known a super is around $ 1.90 per liter, depending on location.

91 octane is around $ 1.72 per liter, depending on location.

That's insane. What a rip off. It should be 70 cents a litre here in australia but its $1 and just about to drop I hope.

Dropped 2 cents to $2.23/gallon of regular today, at my usual filling station.
A popular Arco (BP) a few blocks over has dropped to $2.19
