Ok, here's another vacuum style I didn't know about. Have to use your own vacuum cleaner.

This looks a bit more promising and a lot more affordable.
 
Looks like it would hook up nicely to a 1 gallon shop vac, they turn up pretty regularly at garage sales.

I would't want to use a regular vaccum do to the moisture and what it can do to them, my Bride would be pi$$ed.

If necessary you could restrict the suction. Blasphemy, almost akin to a breast reduction. :cry:

Lol. I think when they say don't use a shop vac, I think they would be talking about the big standard 4-wheelers. Those small gallon jobs might be fine but it might be good to check.
 
Well, I don't know if this counts but I use these sponges that have cloth wrapped around them with microfiber on one side. I use one to apply isopropyl alcohol, then I use the other to pick it up. I curl the dry sponge up like a D4 brush, and roll it front to back while the record is moving on a spare TT.

This has been good on albums that are not to dirty to begin with. If its really bad with alot of dirt deep down, the procedure is limited even if I apply it multiple times. After a few uses, I do wash them with a little dish soap under the tap, but then I use alot of distilled water to rinse and squeeze them out.

These soft cloth covered/ single micrfiber sided sponges I picked up at a drug store. I'd buy a few more if I could find them.
 
I have diapers I can use or do use. Was just wondering about the Micros. I use them after I run them thru the sit and spin.

I bought some of the cloths that Spin Clean sells, they are like cheese cloth, I think you are better off with the diapers.

The micro fiber sponges get into the grooves pretty well. I'm not sure a cloth could get in as well. I do however also use LAST fluid with th small brushes for routine maintenance after records have been fully cleaned. It's the used ones that can be really bad with the old dust/mold/finger prints that are a big concern. The microcline stylus is a real dirt digger.
 
Just broke out the sit and spin. Took me 1/2 hour to do one LP. Once in and awhile a pop. So I will wipe it down again. .Sleeve city has some Super Deep Cleaner. The next step for me is Gruv Lube. I really don't like pops in my music. I try very hard.So far so good no pops.

This guy at the record store said to use forehead grease to remove stuff that was really stuck on the record.
 
I just contacted Sleeve city about label covers and to discuss this. GEM Dandy Hydraulic Record Cleaning Apparatus. If I can work a deal would anyone want to try it. Use it for a day and pass it on. Don't do your whole collection.
