NEW to me Denon DR-M34HR

This little baby just arrived from an eBay seller...I think it cost $49.95, but is in beautiful shape. Haven't pluged her in yet (fingers crossed, but the heads and all look pristine.. I'll report back on how she sounds later...

I think it was produced in 1988 and originally cost $500.00. I have the DR-M22 deck also which is a three head machine and sounds very nice. Can't compare it to anything but the two head Onkyo right now, but it (the DR-M22) does sound better than the ONK..

I have rebelted a few Denons and sold them. Don't remember the sound though.

Always had bad luck with Denon but when my last Nak went bad I decided to try an M44 and have been happy with the sound and good looks,,my M44 looks like your M34 but has Wood sides

I still haven't listened to it yet. The wife has been in a cleaning frenzy ( a result of my painting the downstairs) and I've been helping.. Tomorrow....

Is the Denon direct drive? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere..

Not all Denons are. Go to Vintage cassettes. Every thing about them are there.
