Yep, 4 kids for me also, 3 are adults and just my 16 year old son is home. He is proving to be the hardest now, not because he's a bad kid or anything because he is not even close but it's his generation that relies on handhelds for social interaction and the whole videogame culture that have been a problem. It's hard to raise a kid old school today. I don't know what kids do for fun now but it's nothing like when I was a kid when we used our imaginations and actually played with the neighborhood kids. Playing Frisbee, riding bikes, bike fishing trips

Yeah keg parties too LMAO but that was a different time. Kids seemed to be more mentally mature then they are today in many ways
 
David Gilmour will be amused to death reading this thread on how the debut of the band's latest release spawned a conversation about family values and maturity. I think that's the whole underlying musical premise of "The Endless River."

I remember trunkfuls of groceries, back when that only cost a couple hundred dollars. I am now reaping the benefits.....they get the jobs where you have to stand out in the cold for hours on end...... I doin't HAVE to stay out in the cold that long anymore , so I don't....unless I have to....

When we left LA and moved here to the country we didn't have much. One old 56 chevy and our clothes, lp's and our
stereo stuff. We both were lucky to land pretty good jobs, and bought some land. I have been looking out this big window
in our house for over 35 years .We built this house ourselves (still working on it). I always see a new visitor out the window,
the other morning a Bobcat was checking out a Red Squirrel that was giving the Cat the where-too.
We have raised our three kids here, now they have left the nest and started there own families. There is nothing like
watching your grandchild walking down the country drive in the morning to catch the school bus and you being there to
greet them when they return.

Children are the only legacy that matters. Being a good parent is the most important job in life and we learn everyday there is no set way to be a good Dad
 
No. But there are some general guidelines. Like being there for them....among other things...
 
I was divorced too an d didn't see mine for 5 years once..
 
Are we still talking about Pink Floyd's new album? or the 109 skynard concerts?

A friend sent me a link to a review that said what some mentioned, redone PF not their best. Mediocre at best but for those that love Floyd like skynard like his band one has to get the album.

I'll never forget my first listen to WYWH. Small room, big power, great turntable and Bose 901s. I think the room was still reverberating when the house was razed. That was a great into to a great album.
