My parents were born and lived in Vibo Marina until they emigrated to Canada in the late 1950's.

My wife and I would love travel there once we retire. I spent a whole summer there (Vibo) in 1972 when our family and my uncle, aunt and cousin made the trip.

On our way from Canada to Italy, 1972:

Your Dad looks like a Made Guy, Nando. Great photo!

NOOOOOOOO don't tell me that he is my Computer Science Professor from the University of Calabria. I am a computer science Engineer and I studied with him many years. Now I think he retired himself, however this is my great PROF: https://dottorato.dimes.unical.it/scientific-board/domenico-sacca
of course, Nando meant Sacco with the o... but your teacher's name isn't new to me... surely I heard it there at the University in Cosenza, even if I wasn't doing your same kind of studies but mechanical engineering... anyways, I definitely heard his name, several times too.
At M.E. we had only one basic exam of computer programming language, though, and the teacher there at me was L. Nigro... but before actually taking that exam, I waited the "lucky" moment while the teacher wasn't present and there were only his assistants, since he was quite hard during the tests! :toothy8:
