I've seen this system, but in pieces, at Nakdoc's shop some years back. Thought about buying the cassette deck from him before I decided on my 482Z, which I got from him. Didn't have room for the triangular shape in my shelves.
Here is the ad that appeared last year. Had it not been for the distance to travel to pick it up, I would have bought it.
I have a Nakamichi 600 cassette deck. I finally decided to get it serviced, last month. I bought it for $95 15 years ago in non-working condition. I was going to build a Nakamichi System One system, but I scrapped that idea because the 600 deck was silver and I had a Nakamichi 620 amplifier which was black. I sold the amp.
What I did keep, are the very rare Nakamichi 600 wood cases for the 600 series of components. I had six NOS wood cases and sold four, leaving me with two. I'm sure I sold one to Robert (Fast Forward) years ago for his own 600 cassette deck..
The 620 power amp is a cool design. THD is rated at 0.005% too. You could fit 2 amps in the rack and bridge them using a Nakamichi "black box" bridging adaptor.
