NAD 5120 Turntable Refurbish

I haven’t bypassed the switch yet to test that theory.

I’m close to buying one that does spin, making one good out of two and selling off the extras.
 
The phase cap simply gets the motor to turn in the pifroper direction. Typically the motor will turn with lower AC voltages, and if it does not, you'll be able to feel 60 cycle vibrations by touching the pulley. These motors are very low torque, so bearing issues are critical. I believe I have a similar motor if you need it.
 
I went with the nuclear option and replaced the entire table. Now I have two "floppy" arms for fast cartridge swaps (that'll probably never happen).

The first one will be parted out since it's already in parts now anyway...
