A few weeks ago I hit a thrift store and found a nice collection of mostly Western/Cowboy music. Went to the same store last night and found 8 more. I assume a Western music fan must have died. I was really glad to find these. Not the kind of stuff you see everyday.

It's not often you come across a collection like the one you found at the thrift store, Chris. You always wonder about who the previous owner was.

My first thought was an old guy who must have died or went to an old folks home. But yes, I have thought about that quite a bit on this bunch especially.

Baxter Black----Cowboy Poet
I used to go to a Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Colorado Springs in the 90's. Never got to see Baxter Black but I did get to see Waddie Mitchell. Of these artists I got to meet Michael Martin Murphy, Red Steagall and Don Edwards. Met both MMM and Red Steagall at Westfest. MMM signed a 8x10 and Red Steagall signed his book of Cowboy poetry for me. Met Don Edwards when he made an appearance at a Western Wear store in Colorado Springs the day after the Posetry Gathering. Waddie Mitchell and the Sons Of The San Joaquin were also there. They all signed a 8x10 for me.

Chris: Certainly know Ian & Sylvia Tyson. Very popular duo in Canada and abroad.
