I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to puters. I plod around looking reading. I read reviews. Learn a lot from them. Ripping was taxing the dinosaur. LOL Looked SSDs. Right now the 500gb will work. I like dual core AMDs for the money. This Toshiba laptop has been beaten to death. 3 HDs 4 keyboards. 4 years in my garage.Been ripping for months. Not a 1/4 of the way done.

Not much of a hassle for the Dell Dimension 2350 I'm using. It's better at that than the internet maybe.

I've seen at least two karaoke jockeys using a Dimension with a 3.0 GHz or so CPU and they are good at that.

i use EAC (exact audio copy). it's free and does a multitude of formats. for cd's they just come off the cd rom. i dont buy into audiophile transport hogwash when i'm transferring 1 & 0's with error correction.

for vinyl, i use a technics SL1300, a selection of carts, m-audio interface, and audacity.

Well I'm done. It is a lot smaller than the other board. Had to cut the connection panel out. Did that. Had to get a 20 to 24 pin adapter. Some of the hook ups were ok. Have 2 extra. The one connector is offset on the pins. That goes to the Fwd Pnl. It is pretty fast. Time to go play. LOL

I have the SL-1300 as well! When I fix the jerk every revolution at 33 1/3 it will be proudly thrashed to an inch of it's life :toothy10: (kidding, I wanted one since I was young and it's taken a while to get to it)
