Music Hall MMf5 motor noise

I bought the Blitz brothers replacement for my MMf5, glad I did. Lubing is a temporary fix.

You should not need to! Every sintered bronze bearing motor I have seen has had a felt/fibre pad surrounding it, and that pad is soaked in oil. They do dry over time, but can be rewet, restoring the motor to like new. Granted, the pics here really don't show the brarings very well, but the large round items surrounding the bearings sure look to be those oil pads from here . . . The bronze just plain doesn't hold enough oil by itself.

(I've never had relubricatimg one of these fail, and some are going on well over 10 issue free years . . . )

I took my original motor apart and oiled bushings .It lasted about year and there's was no felt pad . This TT is a simple design but you need good working parts.
