anyone know what the dealio is on this deck? i have a line on one that appears to be in good cosmetic condition and am waiting to hear more regarding its functional and operational condition.

I've used DATs for flight data recording in decades past but not for audio - good technology for its time.

cool thread. after looking further it seems its a standard cassette player with the DAT referring to the Dolby abilities of the deck.
