OK, as ignorant as I am about tubes, is there more than 1 transformer?

You generally need an impedance matching transformer Lee. There are transformerless designs but they are rare.

That amp is sweet, very retro

The microphone is out of Lee's stash....................

Nice little tube amplifier, Lee. A gift?

Nando.

A friend rescued it from a dumpster and knew where to bring it.

So, anybody want to give me a design description?? Like a single ended triode, or a four sided pentode,......

It doesn't have the setup to be push pull so that would likely make it single ended. The 6L6 is a pentode power tube so that might make it a single ended pentode...

Just a guess since no schematics are available.

I would imagine low wattage as well, probably 10-15W output.

I agree with Joe, It looks like it is wired as a pentode. Watch the multi-section filter cap when you fire it up, if it hums or gets warm it needs to be replaced.

Yes, That is the about the only thing that goes bad in a tube amp.
