Got these hooked up a couple days ago and they sound wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than they have a right to. Didn't know what I was expecting out of some open baffles but it wasnt this.
They are NOT a co-axial, just a 2 coil driver. Both 8 ohm coils. I've run em hooked up in parallel and with just one coil, can't tell much difference. They go pretty low but I think they top out about 5k. Was surprised again that the further away you got the better they sound, and there's a spot where the backside finally reaches the front and it wasn't objectionable.
I had a PL 3300 Pre, a BDP 103 Cd player, and The Pig. It appeared IO could clip the Pig, but the specs said 100-150 watts was recommended. Another Model One showed up today, I'll let it try a little oriental as it's first assignment.....
