The 70's couldn't be beat, like Perry said. Cars, girls, music, and drugs! We were invincible. I won't list the cars I had but I'd give my eye teeth to have any one of them again. The times are gone, but the memories will last till our dying days.

Growing up in my dads shop I saw when the shift occurred. Up to about 1971 cars were “normal” then they went off the rails.

By 74 everything had massive bumpers and diminutive engines further choked by emission standards like “lean burn” and the glorious secondary air pump.

Ever count the number of front bumper bolts on a late 70’s Chevy nova?
