Sleep.. funny you should mention that because I doubt I'll be getting much tonight.. "work"... ugh... upgrading big software package, lots of moving parts..

Not yet.. woulda, but I'm basically still "at work".. yup.. it's past midnight.. ugh!

Got the diodes done, almost got the lil caps all in.

(back to "work".. mussin fussin dagnabit... :angry1:)

We're getting there Kev. Also having a sidebar with one of the Masters (Joe) 'bout your caps at the moment. Like I told ya in PM, those 75 volt rated ones I can't let stay in there... not after witnessing a big SPOOGE incident with some 100 volt caps in a 700 last year.

Will be hitting the rest of the board construction tomorrow. I'm relaxin.. time to kick back. :glasses8:

You been busy !!!

Yessireee... Backplanes all done. Next we will do the "guttin and stuffin" with all the wiring in between. Should be sometime this week to fire it up, Kev.

The Rev B backplanes are pretty dang neat. The rounded jumpers I think are a nice touch, Joe - I've always been told you always avoid the 90 degree bends. :thumbright:

Jerry: Thanks for supplying all the pictures and comments during the rebuild of Kevin's PL 400. It makes me appreciate more about what is encompassed in a build. Nice work!

Nando.

Nice work Jer! The build is looking good.

It looks like the TO-3 interface to the backplane has solder - is this a socket of some sort? That would be cool for output transistor replacement or trouble shooting. Any chance to get a photo of the backside?
