I'm converted and I've not even heard your stuff. I don't need to. I can tell from the pictures and all the comments on this forum. Plus, if you've ever owned Phase Linear stuff, you know what it is capable of being. Just took Joe, Lee, and others to make it happen. I got faith..

I guess you are what you eat......

I think speaker evolution reached it's high water mark in the 60's or 70's. I think todays speakers have been made smaller as a function of the Oil Embargo and the resulting increased cost of materials, production and transportation of the end product. Read this article:

http://www.ominous-valve.com/altec.html

I think it contains some great stuff. I am beginning to believe that the KHorn and the Altec A-7 and even the A-5 or other speakers for this time poeriod represents the pinnacle of technology in sound reproduction. I have heard a lot of different loudspeakers and built a bunch, but am beginning to believe that there is nothing like SIZE. It takes a large driver to move air. One of the systems in movie theatres had a 30 inch bass driver.. Whoa..........

I'd love to hear more OLD speakers....and older designs. With mo9derrn production techniques, I think possibilies are unreal....but we seem to be limited as to what is available by weight and cube....

To me it depends on what you want as to whether size matters. I like my Epos for what I use them for. I don't need to be like the Maxell guy. I can jam pretty good for a 12X19 room. Loud on occasion is good.It is I like to hear the subtle differences in the music.I guess I have grown to want to hear the nuances of the different guitar players or drummers. Lee you will not convince me.LOL

I guess it is like the old saying. To each his own.

I'm not going to try and convince you of anything, but you will leave here with a new appreciation of the POTENTIAL of 500 watts going through a set of severely modded K-Horns. Like CPR without the paddles.
