That's awesome Jer! I thought Lee was kidding about the slight hum stuff with the 700s. That would bum me out. This wiring deal and how it affects noise is very interesting and I can see quite integral to a good build. So is your amp done now? Pics of it firing the D9's up would be awesome, I am so happy for you to finally have your FC monster!
Lee was kidding about the hum as Lee is prone to sarcasm like most of us.

A recent EBay ad stated that the 700s all have a slight hum as Lee quoted in his post. From what I read the seller of the amp paid an ass ton of coin to get his amp upgraded and it came back with audible hum that he could hear at low volume levels. The tech said that all 700s have this issue but by turning up the volume you could not hear the hum anymore. I think he was smoking something. :smokin: Not saying that the smoking part is bad but the BS is.

Should I steer clear of the 700B listed as upgraded/serviced right now?
( which seems to exactly match what was said by nav...)

If looking for a White Oaking candidate, it makes no difference what kinda shape the electronics are in. Just the cosmetics..

I've totally lost the plot....
The Aussie first floor is actually what we call the second floor - they drive on the wrong side of the road too.
We have less crashes on that side 'coz the Koalas and Kangaroos keep to the left.

No wonder America is so screwy when they do everything back-to-front!

We have a basement, then ground floor then first floor and so on.
You have a basement then ground, and then you jump straight to second?
Wot happened to first?

…. and you reckon WE drive on the wrong side?

I don't think so…..

I've know lots of 'merikans, that have driven here, and after only ONE DAY, they've ALL said it feels more natural driving with your right hand on the wheel, (and for scratching your nuts occasionally), and your left hand on the stick shift, (or your g/f's lap) TRUE! Have I EVER lied to you guys? NO!
