Jack Russell, lead singer of band Great White, dies

Russell recently stopped touring after announcing he had been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and Multiple System Atrophy, which causes loss of coordination and balance, and changes in speech.

Shit, that happens to me quite often.

I did not realize that song was covered by anyone else.

The Small Faces - Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake is one of few albums that I can honestly say is one of my favorites. I have owned my vinyl copy (not an original release) since the early 1970's and have played it uncountable times. Eventually I got a CD version for convenience sake around 2005.

It has the definative version of that song. Steve Marriot composed it and sang it. I think those that covered it must have been paying tribute to Steve Marriot as best as they could manage.

If you have a sec, here is one of my favorite Power Ballad by GW. The song was written in the 60's by another writer and was covered by Quiet Riot, who did a good job on it, and a few others but nobody did it like Jack..... What a great voice. Here is Afterglow.

Good find Perry, I was not tuned into Great White. Will have to check it out.
