I'm trying to get a handle on who's who in the DIY parts scene. when I search Ebay for Dynaco parts I'm amazed how many outfits are hawking there 'miracle' mods for Dynaco products.
I keep running into qua-co & see they sell some things for PL. And another fellow in Conneticut I think sells the transistors.
Obviously I'm going with White Oak for my two 400's & the 700b.
I'm just the curious type & also don't want to put my foot in my mouth by not connecting Ebay sellers with Phoenix members.
I have figured out who has the snazzy black 700b faceplate of my dreams!:cheers::cheers:
And that Gepetto is the genious behing WO!
 
Ed can tell ya all about qua-co. He sells good stuff, but ya might want to check with us on the PL stuff, between all of us we've got what you need...

No worries there my friend. I'm just glad that so many folks want to keep our vintage gear running & better than ever.

I don't know too much about qua-co. Ironically his name is Ed also and he is in Blackwood, New Jersey. He may have worked for Dynaco. I don't know if it is Ed Laurent or someone else.

By the way, I am the fellow living in Connecticut.

Ive bought a bunch of parts from him over the years. He knows his stuff. Great guy too.

I just received a 700b from Lee on Tuesday. Trying to scratch up some jack for you. Had it in my Ebay cart since the day I joined up here!
If I get the dough before you sell it, we'll save you some Ebay hassle.
Nothings ever certain for me these days.
Except the pain...................

I have a ton of snazzy black 700B faceplates...

Silver ones too...
 
Well hot dawg! That sure takes some pressure off. Thank you for posting that! I've been in near panic mode for two months trying to buy the parts most likely to dissapear first.
Now I won't have to take the wifes wheelchair up to the pawn shop to buy WOPLsniffers.:-o:joker:
We'll just add one to my not too far off, first WO order.

That's half what I paid for the PL400 plate. Hmmmm.

Not sure how I missed it. Your site is my homepage! And my monitor is my 70" TV! And I'm in front of it 20 hours a day.
I'm calling the sixties......................I want my brain cells back!!!

After I get done a few other projects, I will have the PL400 faceplates and chassis as well. Just a matter of limited time.

Have you considered doing any for the PL4000 preamp?

Yes you did. I need to slow/calm my ass down. Much pent up desire since the seventies. I just can't contain my excitement.
And it's Mark Comers youtubes to blame. I had no idea any of this was going on.

I guess I've posted that before. I repeat myself often these days.
