dr.bo is a valued friend and member here and at several other forums, he's a great guy and has an amazing collection of tapes for sale, as you have seen, some very drooly stuff. His prices are fair and he combines shipping so buy a bunch :santa: IIRC his name is Joel :D

he'll definitely be seeing some business from me... i love old tapes.

I do too, you can't beat the sound or longevity of them. I'm partial to the very pricey ones, good thing I'm broke, or is that why I'm broke :rabbit:

What are you doing up so late, your on the east coast right?

Use the link to the Phoenix Audio Tape Company. Joel is in charge of those tapes. You can get new Phoenix chomes and limited metal as well and Scotch Metafine, SKC (the red chrome may be SKC, Phoenix would not live without pancakes you know).

The accessories are being closed out, never to return like Tower Records...so get on that!

Dude you missed me selling my stash. I had over 150 denons. And a bunch more. What kind of deck do you have? I can send you a blue label Phoenix for you to try. How do you dub your tapes. I have 3 Tascam 302s sitting here to be used as dubbing decks. Make me an offer I can't refuse. I also have the Daisey chain cable where you can control everything from one deck. There are benefits to being a member of this forum. Just ask the other members. LOL

He speaks the truth Nick, you become a member you get rewards, BIG TIME!! You have to try the Phoenix blue label's :thumbright:

Right now my gear is all "free stuff"/cheap stuff off Craigslist, aside from my digital multitrack recorder. But for tapes, I use my $10 Tascam 424 with dbx (for kinda lo-fi multitracking) and for tape playback and record I use my Sony TC WE-475. The Sony is FANTASTIC. I have had over three dozen tape decks in my short little life, and it is my favorite. Sounds REALLY good, rock solid.

I have a Nakamichi 250 that I got really cheap, too, I just got that one for fun. IT'S FOR A CAR, though, and it came in a suitcase with the original speakers. I bought it, and a folding Lowrey organ from some crystal meth addicts who thoguht it was all one big unit.

I found a few decks with Dolby HX-PRO, and since that's a bias adjustment, not companding, I am very interested to try that out. I have had decks with it, before, but didn't know how to use it.

I stay up all night, sometimes, :)

oh, yeah, I am on the west coast, about two hours northeast of Seattle.

We might be moving to Everett..... Either Everett, or maybe SOUTH of Seattle. Crazy times.

Hell, you're almost in Canada, ever thought about switchin' teams...er....sides  , my fingers do funny things sometimes, and I'm a sucker for a goodlookin' older lady with grey hair

I like HX-PRO, because it's done during recording only, and I think all decks benefit during playback. I can't stand any other Dolby system or even DBX, Bah! Pooey!! HumBug!! Crap, it's all crap. absolutely no need for it, don't buy or use tapes that are hissy, there's waaay too many nice quality tapes dirt cheap or free!!

Now let me tell ya how I really feel...
