What did you do, mount the standoffs on the wrong side of the board? You did a swell job of attaching them though.

Can you salvage the board? Or just mount new standoffs on the back?

You would have thought after one of them you would have said Damn Damn Damn and caught it. I have done stupid things like that too which I should have noticed part way through. :rabbit:

I got ya beat......this did not happen tonight..
Why don't you just reverse everything - heat sinks and driver BJT's on the inside and the electronics on the outside? Move the faceplate a bit forward and voila.:happy7::shock::tongue5:

Bummer - send the boards my way and I might be able to remove the standoffs without compromising the board if you're willing to chance it.

Well - maybe you should frame them and put them on the wall. I'm assuming you have space for something on the wall 'cause I know you don't have room elsewhere. Come to think of it my space is beginning to get a lot of accumulated shit too - this damn site is making me do it. :confused3:

Tim went to Home Depot last weekend and came back with enough plywood and 2 X 4's to make me plenty of space in his shops trusses....may take us a week or two but there will be clean semi-climate controlled storage for all my overflow....

That will be awesome - it should be easier to find stuff that way and you'll have room to move.

I've known my best friend since 1978 and I'm still hoping they'll perfect cloning so I can save him from polygamy.

(His mother in law was my favorite degree of ornery too).
