The same guy I got the DBX unit from also had a few tapes "laying around". Did a deal for 50 of his metal formulations, and they arrived a few days ago.
Had a nice "surprise" in the lot.. we'll see if the CR-3A does justice with it or not (Tony.. lol.. ). In any case, he recorded these a long time ago with he thinks a M-224X Technics (which has DBX), so that's how I got the DBX unit in such good condition - guess he used it to move all to digital and for him had no further use.
I've listened to a few tracks - not too bad. A few oldies but goodies, so I'll see if there are a few gems in the recordings before taping over em. I should ask him if he has a catalog for the songs seeing as how he had some sort of numbering scheme.
