Good stiff transformer with the same power supply (simple yet effective)

Essentially find a currently produced set of transformer and meters, design for an enclosure that also matches the 700 White Oak backplane's hole pattern exactly. Apply the best practice heat sink technology with on demand active cooling. Match the speaker post pattern with Don's 700 DCP. Done... and nobody has to go hunting for old carcasses to experience the WOPL sound.

The Sunfire original 300 x 2 looks pretty much like you describe Jer. Perhaps a few design ideas could be garnered for the cosmetics and general size of the enclosure?

This is the one the guy on the guitar board is hooking me up with along with a Sunfire tube preamp. The preamp needs a little work I guess, he said one channel was out but this stuff was barely used and stored in a closet for the last decade. Probably an easy fix
