Because I got another offer, I couldn't refuse...
I asked for a significant pay increase (20%), have seasonal hours (so I can drop my son off for school on school days), have a better 401(k) plan with company matching to a point, same medical plan as my wife's, but it's NOT a PPO plan.
Working in a new facility (clean!) and probably have my own (new) office, but that is not confirmed yet, nor is my "title" at the new job (but probably Production Engineering Head).
They even have a cafeteria, so I don't have to spill food on my keyboard any more!
Naturally, the first order of business is finding a "new" receiver for my office... The boom box will probably due for the few months before we move into the new building permanently.
