Greetings all.....I've lurked here on occasion, but I have a couple PL units to service & knew this was the place to go. One is a PL400 ser. II......I'll order the WO control board & fixings for that. But this other unit took by surprise a bit. The owner said it was an early 700.....& it sure looks it.
I've heard about the prototypes for these but didn't think I'd ever see one on my bench. I'm not I wanna do anything serious to this.......any suggestions on how to approach this?
I guess the story behind it is, the owner's older brother knew Bob Carver from school & bought this unit from him. He had it serviced once in 1990 for a scratchy pot, & it was boxed/stored shortly thereafter......til now. He has a copy of the purchase invoice & this other sheet.
