I've been lurking for a while and ended my vicarious living when my Series 2 4000 preamp finally came back from being reworked. I found a PL400 from eBay that was
modded in order to get the most out of it. Now I am ready to move up for a few reasons.

I have two PL400s before investing in the modded one mentioned above. Since I am impulsive, I wanted to get the best from the newly improved 4000 S2. However, the detents in It's level knob are frustrating and the attenuator circuit is not transparent to my ear.

So that leads me to my ask. (If this is the wrong thread for that please accept my humble apology and redirect me to repost.)

Is there someone here who can perform the service, or who can recommend where I can send my PL400 S2 for a full on WOPL upgrade?

Thank you!

I've managed to achieve the lower end of mid fi finally, by acquiring the gear I lusted after back in the day. Starting with a couple B&O RX turntables, Nakamichi CD3 and an MB-1s, a Denon DRR-780 cassette, TU-720 tuner on the source side-> into a Phase Linear 4000 (freshly recapped and renovated) Series 2 Preamp and a Luxman 350 pre amp for routing the audio sources mentioned and the audio signals from video sources into a PL400 that's been partially upgraded with a WO board, running a set of Infinity Qb in the living room, and into a Luxmam L-100 running a set of Advent minis in the kitchen, and into a Luxman R-405 running a set of Infinity Qe in the bedroom.

Soon a full WOPL400 S2 will join the family in the listening room to drive a set of Infinity Reference Studio Monitors (that are in need of recapping).

It's been a fun journey and I am looking forward to welcoming the WOPL into the herd. I'll probably need to part ways with the other two 400s sittting about at that point. (It really is a sickness.)
