Been lurking here for a while. Lee and Jer have convinced me to crawl out from under the rock and say 'Hi'.
My time is limited so I probably won't post much, but I do have a comment.

Lee,
I hear you refer to yourself as a 'parts changer'. You are selling yourself way short. What you do to get those PL's back in not just running condition, but turning them into great sounding reliable amps is amazing!
You can't do what you do without a pretty good understanding of how stuff works, I'll take perseverance and hands on experience over spoon fed book learning any day.

Welcome aboard. There are a few PL enthusiasts, here, who know explicitly what it takes to elevate the PL series beyond their original capabilities. Lee is a modest guy, and I would have to say the free-flowing information contained in this forum has allowed many others to participate in the constant upgrades we've seen to old equipment.

Hopefully, we will see more of you and perhaps gain some insight into your own experiences - good and bad. I'm sure you have a competent system at your home base. And that would be understating it.

Nando.

Nando, we have truly been blessed if Tom starts to post a wee bit. He's one of those guys that can fabricate their way out of trouble, It'd be cool to have him and NavLinear tag up, the possibilities boggle the mind.
On AK he's known as a Marantz Guru, but he can fix anything, so glad to see you here Tom...

Shit - I recognized the Catrafter moniker from AK but I wasn't sure it was the same dude. Welcome to the dark side!! A warning though - be very careful if you get in one of my threads. You may wind up in the "Cave". Due to my sworn oath to silence that's all I can say for now.
