You might want to check this bad boy out, it's in your neck of the woods.

SAE 2500, cost $1,800 new in 1977, 300 watts @ 8ohms, 450 watts @ 4ohms, probably 600+ into 2 ohms, should you need it to. This one needs some TLC tho, could be a great deal.

Errrr... soo.. if'in it only has two channels, and they "have to be replaced", that leaves a lotta wiggle room as to what may be wrong with it. Mebbe the tech disconnected everything except the power goin' to the VU meter lamps?

Hehe.. on the other hand, could be a gem in the rough. As long as it doesn't bid through the roof, maybe it would be a good snag eh?

That's what I thought too Jerry, it might be major and then again, it might not, these bruiser's don't show up often, when they do you have to pay about $600 for one, I've always wanted one, just for the hell of it. Love the meters, tho not many speakers would be able to make them move. Maybe some AR-9's or some Apogee's
