Ti auguro un felice compleanno!

May all your birthday wishes come true.
He's got Geri, Navo, he hasn't truly needed any other gifts or wishes since they met.

Happy Birthday, Nando!

Thank you all for such kindness. It's good to know so many of you, as I do love the support and camaraderie here on the forum. It has been said before, but I look at all of you as my second family. I will add more, later, but I have dinner waiting, then the big hockey game following that. If I am sober, and most times in the evening when I am on a bit of a humorous tear on the forum, it's because I've got a slight buzz on, I will stop in to see who is still awake.

Ciao for now,

Nando.

Thank you, Derek and Tony. Nav: Thanks for the bedtime image, now that Tony has named me the Ladies Man.

It was a nice time spent with family last night. My cousin came over for the evening and he is a Boston Bruins fan. The Vancouver Canucks won the game 6-2 over the Bruins. Dinner was delicious - prime rib roast, asparagus with Swiss cheese sauce, nugget potatoes, baked tomatoes, sourdough bread, and a home-baked chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing. Sorry, no pictures from last night - thus the details.

I got a few phone calls and texts from friends wishing me a Happy Birthday. I have some spending cash for something appropriate for myself. And I have a few gift cards to use, including one from my oldest son for a music shop. My mom and dad got me set with fresh-baked biscotti and a bottle of Sambuca. Geri got me some nice clothing because I never buy clothes for myself. My youngest son, who lives in Montreal, has a gift coming in the mail. I`m curious, as he registered with eBay and PayPal, in order to get me a surprise gift. And I have plenty of lottery scratch tickets to see if I can retire early. Wishful thinking, but you never know!

Nando, my take of retirement is that you can never seem to retire early, the tread gets worn out and you take the car to the tire shop.

If you stop doing work on something you RUST.

Thanks, Sep. It was a low-key affair, just how I like it.

Nando.
