Clapton plays with feeling and soul, he coaxes emotion from his guitar and the sounds he gets come from his heart. Malmsteen is a technical player with incredible hand coordination but there is no feeling, no sense that he believes in what he is playing. A good friend once told me that guitar players either play for themselves or they play for their listeners. You listen to the clips and tell me who is showing off and who is communicating with the audience through the music. YMMV.

How can you listen to the 20 minute version of Stranglehold and not think Ted belongs there...
 
That's a busy F&^%$# drummer behind him!!! Saw him in Rapid City during that album tour. And I was thinkin at the time what it would be like to have him and Eddie up there at the same time....


Ted should be the next senator out of Texas....
 
Thanks Larrt, hadn't seen that one.....CLASSIC TED!!!!! Anybody ever seen him play a Stratocaster???

I remember seeing Ted many times in the late 70s and early 80s. I like him better as Ted Nugent the wild showman, not the Ted Nugent the political asshat
