Graeme Edge, Moody Blues drummer and co-founder, dies at 80
The band’s frontman Justin Hayward called Edge the backbone of the British rock band, which was inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

Drove through a blizzard in my 1957 beetle to Syracuse to see them... They were in their heyday then, 1970

Nothing like a blizzard in a bug...froze to death did ya??

Justin Hayward had one of the best voices in the bidness

"Forever Autumn" circa 1978

3 minutes and worth a listen

I have that in my fav play list. I think I had to find it on jeff wayne's musical version of the war of the worlds Narrated by Richard Burton.

It wasn't really a Moody Blues song but Justin Hayward used HIS voice to almost make it one

Well, damn. Sad day indeed. One of my all-time favorite bands. Saw them in 1972 in Atlanta; great show. Missed the tour where they played with the symphony orchestras around the country but would have enjoyed that immensely. A friend who was the principal percussionist for the Chattanooga Symphony when they played with them at the Arena here in Chattanooga said it was some of the most complicated music they'd ever encountered. The Red Rocks album is a thing of beauty.
