Hi Stuwee

Yes it is still hot here. We had a couple good days. No rain. I have the only yard that isn't totally brown. I pray you have a very good day today.

My back yard is all tore up where I have been trying to get 3" deep to mix the top soil in. I have some weird weeds now.

I was trying to think how to warn people. I'm out of one of my meds. Have been for 2 days. I'm not to nice at the moment. I'm tired of this debt thing.

I'll say it like I told my niece in Aussy land. I'm doing what I do. LOL

I'm sorry to hear about the meds thing, is there a way to get them this weekend? My Walgreens is great about that, if I run out of my anti-seizure meds on a Friday, they'll front me enough to get thru till Tuesday and call my Doc to get the prescription renewed.

I'm the only house on my street with grass, it's only 20' x 20', but enough for Anniepoo to roll around on, she only likes to pee there too, so I'm fighting the brown areas, you can see them good in this pic I just took, still dark out here, nice and cool. no rain for days, hopefully the storms come back tonight!

That sucks, I forgot about the tight rein they have on the good stuff. I take it you haven't had a lot of very windy days, you don't want that fresh topsoil to blow away. That's why those 'Haboobs' were so bad up in PHX last week, all the construction in the outer suburbs during the boom went bust, and they just left all the ground graded, when those big thunderstorms collapsed, the outflow just scooped up all that dirt and sand. My baby sis was talking to Mom on the phone when the first big one hit, all Mom could hear her say was "Shit, Crap....Kids, get in the bathroom, now, Haley get your brother", Mom was freakin' out thinking there was a tornado or something, finally Steph said turn on your TV Mom, this huge wall of dirt just covered the whole city, Freaky.

So, what can I do about those pee spots? I know there's something, I just can't remember what it is. I know fertillizer will just make it worse. something about the chemicals and the pH in the urine, right?

I have neighbors dogs do it. I just keep spraying with water till they are green again. Yes there is something they have. I can't remember what it is.

What is wrong with your nieghbors? They all retarded or something?? I'm sure you have leash laws, and their ill behaved children running amok in the 'hood, not cool! Maybe you should start acting more eccentricly, like wear evil clown makeup and big shoes with sharp teeth when you ride the scooter to Lowes, vacuum your driveway at 3am, put up your Christmas lights in August....

The culprit is nitrogen (urea), heavily watering the area after urination will help dilute the nitrogen which is burning the grass out. High protein diet and high protein dog foods promote even higher concentrations of nitrigen, the reason it seems female dogs urine is worse is because when they squat it concentrates the urine in one area. The best thing to do is keep water handy and soak, dilute the area of nitrogen before the damage is done.

You might also use a fertilizer with less nitrogen in it since your doggie wants to help with the fertilizing, nitorgen is a good thing until the concentration is to high and it the 'burns' the grass.

I have a bag of urea I got from the local farm supply store, I put straight urea on my lawn occasionally, very sparingly, it will turn your lawn a beautiful emerald green as long as you are careful not to over do it. Ever spilt the fertilizer on the grass, looks just like the dog peed there in a few days.

Ah, nice explaination Jim, You sure know alot about bitches

I guess it would be fun to follow her around with the hose and spray her and the spot when she's done. btw, she only poops in the back where it's all gravel, harder to scoop up, and not to mention in gthe 5 years I've lived here, a third of the gravel has gone in the garbage, what a waste.

Probably for the same reasons.

I use an old steel stake to drive into the ground first and make a hole, then put the tree spike in that way I get it closer to the trees roots where I want it.

Our heat index has remained above 105 for the last two weeks during the day. Kind of getting used to it, about as much you can get used to being kicked in the kahonnies.

And besides, what good is an empty can of beer? Or for that matter only one can, hardly worth dirtying you rmouth over. lol

Can we cultivate it? Smoke it? Some nasty Illinois green grows wild around here from some past hemp tests they ran thinking they could make rope from it.
we call it green acreas from the headache it gives.
