Goin Fishin.....

Man, I don't know....last time I went fishin I didn't have 3 pages of "New Posts" to read.....damn, you guys been busy...

Whaddya get outta it??

You mean as far as price, Lee? I haven't divulged that with anyone, but I received a fair cash sale without heavy negotiating. The buyer is Italian, and of course so am I, so a straight-up transaction. No fuss, and the owner is a Buick enthusiast, so that clinched the deal.

Here's one of my ads, if it's large enough to read:

Nando.

The Lee man is back. :rabbit:

Nando, that is enough for ten Pio SX-1980's. If you and the buyer are both happy that is all that matters. :thumbleft:

I can't imagine a straight up deal between two Italians, hand flappin all over the place, a hand over the heart after each heart attack from the counteroffers.....woulda made a great you-tube vid...

You described that beautifully, Lee... well enough that it reminded it me of a movie clip:

A Brown trout. I had caught a few nice cutthroats but my camera was tryinmg to dry out. A beautiful fish, so are the Browns in November when they spawn, they get a LOT brighter..

Pic #1 in the first batch was a 5 foot long bull snake...almost walked on him and scared the shit outta me until I saw he wasn't a buzztail...

The rest..

Lee: Thanks for the pictures. Could you fill us in on the fishing gear you used? Right now, it's pretty dry in this part of the country and the rivers are running low as most of the snow-melt has receded. I don't know what's hot for lake fishing nearby. I know as far as salmon, there's expected to be huge return of sockeye. Last year, for the first time in more than 50+ years there was a trial commercial fishery opening at the mouth of the Squamish River for Pinks. It was very successful.

Nando.

Nando, I was using a 9 foot 2 piece 7 weight G.Loomis GL3 rod. A Teton Flyreel with 6 weight line with 200 feet of 30 pound backing. I was also using 12 foot , 3 and 4X tippet leaders and running an upper fly with a dropper and 2 BB size splitshot to get to the fish. There isn't much topwater action as the fish there are subject to predation by Pelicans so they stay deep. When the water is high theyu are hard to get to but not impossible..
