I am starting a 'Name That Album' thread here on PHX. Its the same as the (extremely popular and informative ......not!!! :wink:) thread on TH's.

If you are first to post up the correct album title.then you get the chance to post up a snippet of a new album cover yourself (or get someone else to do it) and so on and so forth.
If the album is not named on the first day, a new clue should be given every new day it runs,till someone finally comes up with the right answer!

I have searched a few times but still cannot find it. I will give another it a try later on today.

Steven should be good at this though.
 
Ok first clue !

This album cover was classed as offensive at the time of its original release (late 70's) and some record stores refused to display it .(How times have changed!)
Very well known European band.

For a clue, I was going to say the band had a sting in its tail but thought that would surely give it away!

Took me 15 minutes to see it even with the album cover in front of me. Good catch.

By my guest. I thought of shooting a corner of Beatles White and putting that up but don't think that would stump anyone. I'll flip through some albums on the weekend an look for something appropriate and not too obscure.

A bit more of a poser. I thought Enya - Watermark but I guess not because I can't see that segment in the painting. It does look familiar though.

No its not Enya. Its a much older album and I'm guessing its one quite a few members here already own!

OK guys, at least I got another clue out of him ... :angry8:

Nando's clue: this group was obviously banned from the airways or somewhere, maybe the cover was banned

My clue: sounds like Stumped or something evil ...
