Glantoirs 'Name The Album' Thread

Phew...thanks Web. That last one was getting personal!

I'm not even gonna look at your new one until I get back from bocce tonite. Usually wired and ready to go at that time.

%&$(*&G A**%&^E Blaze....but thanks for the challenge and entertainment.

Don't mention it! :laughing8:

Hey wait, you play in a bocce league?

Sure do. I ran the league until last year (that wasn't any fun anymore). Rebuilding my "Billygoats" this year. Pickup up a ringer that just beat one of the nationally ranked players in a singles tournament. Billygoats just ended the first half 17-4 in first place.

Awesome!

The Wedding Album? Hungry like the wolf?

Oh well done!

I would never have got that. Not heard or ever (knowingly) seen this album.

I need to move away from my usual diet of Kenny G, Michael Bolton & Boyz II Men and try to improve my appreciation of other artists urgently.

Give it a listen some time.

Or You Tube the following songs:

Come Undone
Ordinary World
Too Much Information

I must finish Milli Vanilli's back catalogue before I embark on any new listening...

Cindy Lauper ?

J / K :laughing8:

She's so Unusual, but no not her. I thought this one wouldn't last for an hour, but seeing as you have to reduce the image to handful of pixels to fool Google's comparative algorithms I guess we have here a contest. I am putting my money on Nando. :toothy5:

A few hints, The album cover was shot on location and that location is still there. Not sure if what is in the image is still there though.

Well that's one hell of a clue there Web......?

Ya quite sure it didn't leave this planet eh?

Yeah, yeah yeah. time for another clue:

He played a musical instrument in recordings for the following bands:

Thin Lizzy
Nick Lowe
Dave Emunds
Bruce Hornsby
Sammy Hagar

In one of his music videos he played three different parts.

That's one humdinger of a clue John. And I now know why you thought I probably had this one in my collection ...

San Francisco, Bay Area boy -

Huey Lewis & The News

Back in the 80's everyone loved Huey Lewis in and around NorCal, even if they weren't especially fond of the music.

I've never owned a single one of their albums but enjoy(ed) so many of the toe-tappers these guys released.

You got it. The album cover was shot at a the 2AM club in Mill Valley. The locals call it The Deuce.

I guess I should have paired down the clue to just one or two bands but it is nice to turn the contest over each day.

Not quite the eighties but this album was a catapult into the next decade.
The one before was big too!

This act was unique.

Strange cross-appeal to islanders, garage/basement pistols and polyphonic hipsters - but not the Kenny G type of polyphonic hipsters.

Then there's that iconic voice ... :shaking2:
