Dad had one and loved it..he would power brake into the curves then turn the brakes loose and get it. Drove properly they were cornering mofo's...

Unless I'm confusing the Corvair with a different car, which is entirely possible, I thought the big gripe about them was a front impact issue. Drivers getting decapitated by the steering wheels.

I've parked the truck at the visitors center a few times. Used to stop there summers when my boys were out of school and riding with me.
Their other favorite place to stop was the Capulin Volcano. Very cool walking trail up on top, all around the rim.
